Alibaba Heat Blanket

Post by FlamingYeti »

Hey guys,
I'm looking into getting a heated silicone blanket for our press. But, I don't really want to shell out $500 for something that could be done cheaper. On Alibaba.com, I found a heat blanket that looks to be equivalent to something very expensive. Here's the link: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/64014 ... t.html?s=p Here's the thing, I asked the seller of that product for a quote on a blanket that would fit our press (8.5"X78")and she came back with a price of $68! Has anybody bought off of alibaba before? I feel like something that is normally 500 dollars that I find for 68 bucks in China could be a trap. If I bought it would my house immediately be engulfed in flames?? Is this deal too good to be true? Please comfort me with your answers.

I've always gotten what I paid for. A heating blanket that's 10-20% of normal pricing...I'd be prepared for somethat that performs as such.

To answer your question, I never order off alibaba. The vagueness of the website scares me. I stick with domestic whenver possible.

But if you order one please share the findings. I'm sure most of us would like to get blankes for <$100 that are comparable.
