Don't have your materials, so perhaps its worth running a few tests - just be careful not to dent you cassette with short pieces. Perhaps its worth testing how hot the cat-track gets?

Definitely orientate the fibre correctly. definitely not Monday.

I think you have are saying you've only been using cf next to the base layer?

This is worth a read:

Very interesting!!! I too just finished a pair of skis that I used carbon for the first time on. I used 2" weave tape, and put it the full length of the ski between the fiberglass and the core. I have built this ski maybe 6 times before and I have always had 3 to 4 mm of camber. This new ski had 7 mm of camber. So, would it reduce the camber if on top?

Once you get your blanket, if you just got one, heating from the bottom will give you more camber, heating on top will reduce camber.

If you're really trying to do this methodically to figure out what change gives you what effect, only change one thing at a time. Changing multiple variables will only leave you guessing. (but that means more layups, which means more time and money)

the skis I have made with carbon always end up with way more camber than I intend even heating top more than bottom by 10-20 degrees F.
I use full width and length carbon

Yep, My first pressing of ski's my camber was like 20mm, over twice what was expected. I discussed it with Brazen and the firs thing he asked was heat blanket top or bottom. I had it on the bottom. When I moved it to the top I got a real mellow camber in my next 2 pressings, sweet!!!!
