I'd be curious if anybody knows another source for vds as well. I emailed the new blankslateskis.com to see if they stocked black vds. Turns out they do, but they quoted me $8/meter and it's 30 mm wide!!!! The tan vds they stock is 50mm wide at $2/meter. I'm all for a little markup if this black is harder to source or supply, but this seems rediculous.
There has to be a direct source for this out there. My google searches turn up nothing.

Buy direct from Haberkorn Ulmer. Just ordered some black 25mm wide, was about $1.5/m (including shipping and wire transfer fees)

Seems like strength, flex and texture appear to be the same. Sure looks better with clear bases!
