Process of hand finishing a base

Post by nearls »

Howdy,

Wondering what the usual sequence of events might be for hand finishing a base. My project has an intentionally contoured base so taking to the shop likely won't work. Belt Sander? Wet sand? What grits to start and finish at? Thanks.

Hey man go to tgr forum and pm marshall olsen. He did the hand finish on the new dps convex base. Seriously he may be the best authority on this.

Found this on the tognar site. Has quite a bit of info. Tried Marshall Olsen but no word back.
