never summer evo

Post by Fresh »

i am interested in pressing up a board with similarities to the never summer evo. Has anyone tried pressing up a board with this type of rocker camber, just looking for some helpful pointers before I try to press one up like this.

Small world. I compare many of the boards i make to my 09 NS Evo R, and my partner has his SLR on a bench flexing it comparing it to what he makes on a weekly basis

As far as mimicking the rocker/camber, you could get both with either a mold with that type of geometry or by using heavier synthetics in those area's vs the rest of the board to get it to pull in when its pressed.

thanks, i am just a little curious about how are you cutting your ribs accurately to get the camber and rocker in such close proximity.

I think about it all the time (my SL-R is my favorite board of all time) but i dread trying it. My rocker/camber always deviates from the mold design after the cure is finally over so it's going to take some educated guess-work.
