Veneer Question!
Hey, I have been using some wood veneer on 10 or so skis now, different
species, all with NO backing. I now want to use bamboo veneer but can only find it with paper, or felt backing. I know some of you have had problems (delams) with paper backed veneer. Any ideas how to get good bonding with this product??? Thanks..KT

It looks like certainly wood has some bamboo veneer without a paper backing. I'd call to verify, but usually they mention if the material is paper-backed.

Here's one place. I have not had any dealings with them yet.

I contacted them a while ago and was referred to their local distributor here in washington. I believe it was specialty hardwoods in bothel. They have some great bamboo products including vertical lam sheets, vertical lam veneers, etc....hafte wrote:Here's one place. I have not had any dealings with them yet.
