Interested in Pin or overhead router plans?

Post by krp8128 »

After spending a couple hours last week setting up some new jigs because I couldn't find the right bearing for my bit, I decided that an overhead router setup would be perfect for what I was trying to do. I started looking around for pictures, and I came up with this:

I know I can design something that will work just as well, but possibly not have the automatic height adjustment, for a lot less.

Is anyone interested in purchasing plans for one of these? I am thinking $15 to $20 for pdf engineering prints of all components. I don't have the ability to make one of these at the moment as I just graduated and lost access to the machine shop on campus, so I'm thinking that I will design it and then pass the plans on (for free) to someone who has the means to build it, then revise the plans to accommodate any required changes.

Any takers?
