check out signals small video clip of there bending tool in action looks pretty neat. i wonder how hard something like that would be to make?

Wow, thats awesome.

So what about 3 rollers (bearings), two fixed, and one that slides. You have a big threaded rod attached to the slidey bit, that you can spin to adjust how close the moving roller is to the fixed ones. The closer it is, the tigher the bend.

basically exactly what they have in that video, but the position of the movable bearing is controlled by hand instead of a machine. It would take some fiddling to figure out the exact right position for a given radius of bend, but once you get that calibrated you should get very repeatable bends! Hmmmm, I might have to try this.

yeah none of their other videos seem to work. i wonder were they bought that ginormous roll of edge materials lol. those damn edges seem to be so hard to find.

but yea i was thinking of modifing something like this

put the rollers into a lathe to match up to the edge thickness.
