air bladders, HUGE ones ;)

Post by knightsofnii »

My airbag can go wider than my press can @ 16"

I honestly think it's a bit overkill, but i think after rebuilding the press and other things, it will come in handy.

Anyway its called Angus Super Aquaduct 12" hose.

If anyone wants to try it, i'm trying to see if the sales rep can get smaller sections of it. If not i'm going to ask him to put out an apb to his customers to see if any of them have any excess they cut off.

Ours holds 75+psi no problem, its so tight with clamps, etc that you can hold the pressure on the hose back with your thumb, no joke.

It expands a little bit and feels almost like a soft tire when inflated but it definitely squeezes well.

I would be interested in getting a couple chunks of that stuff if the price is right.

Thanks bro.

Have you tried making a cap board without a top cassette with your HUGE bladder? Seems to me cap should be stronger in delam than the sidewall method.......

posting this for bobbyrobie:

Looks like something similar to the super aquaduct hose.
29dollars/ft. is rather expensive. Though I havent gotten a price from the aquaduct salespeople.

Hey Doug
Did you see the setup november was using in action? I am wondering what sheet he put between the bag and board and what else like plates or whatever. Also what rail shape did he put on for the bag to conform?

On the new site I cannot see any details other than he says hybrid cap sidewall construction. I wonder if the cap part is on the tip area or the main heal area???

didn't see it in action. But I saw some boards. VERY impressive.
Capped rails, slightly capped tips. Uniform thickness sidewall all the way around. SICK wood tops! Saw one that was unfinished, and the raw wood looked so cool. It then gets varnished/laquered or whatever many many times. Sweet diecut bases. I hope he makes a comeback.

HUGE bladder

Post by kris197012 »

Hi Doug
I would like to buy some of that Huge bladder. I am located in US but I have a major problem finding somebody who would sell small piece of such a hose. I would appreciate if you could hook me up with your sales person or if you could get that hose from him.
thanks,
Kris
