fire hose

Post by rockaukum »

I have some used fire hose that I just replaced in my press. Two 5" hoses clamped to gether (side by side) with scrader valves in place. Have used this set up for multiple pressings with no leaks. I made a longer setup and wanted to see if someone might be interested in it.

Yes they are. about $2 ea and you can either leave the stem intact or remove for quicker deflation. I leave them in.

What are the fittings you used and where did you get them? I have been looking for some through wall fittings but all are pretty expensive. These look like what I am after!

schrader (spell) valves are the valves used in you car tires. Go to your local auto supply house, they should have plenty.

I got mine from a place that sells truck tires. They use those valves for tractor trailers. I agree they work really great and yeah cheap! I never even used any sealant.
