urethane. economic poin of view

Hey guys,
I am asking for expert advice.
At the end of the season a little bit trying to sort out in benefits of using urethane to abs plastic.
As far as I understand the main benefits of urethane are variety of colors(pigmennts), relatively small amount of material waste, better bonding abilities.
The difficulties may occur when pouring urethane, that is the main point.
My question is about economic benefit.
I do understand that situation with price on materials is differ for different parts of the world.
But in general, whether the polyurethane more favorable material compared to abs plastic from saving money point of view?
(I am not talking about time and equipment consumption, just material)
