Scrap fire hose

A while back I bought some 5 inch scrap hose from this site for a single ski press, and had no problems with it. I recently bought 25 feet of retired hose from a different site, repurposed materials, figuring that if used scrap hose and it worked fine the first time it would work fine again. Not the case. The hose I most recently bought is filled with holes, beyond any point of fixing and my compressor won't even get it to pressure.

I really need some new hose soon and don't want to spend a ton on it. I found 25 feet of 4 inch scrap hose (the link above) from fire hose supply, the site I bought my first hose on, for cheep but I am now skeptical of buying used hose.

Anybody else have good or bad luck with buying scrap hose from this site?

I water tested it before I took it home. No water leaks
