tip protection

Post by gerryrig »

Does anyone have a source for tip protectors like you see on many of the production model skis? Solamon uses a horseshoe shape, K2 uses a through button etc.

I would think they just buy a roll and get it cut to their spec with a cnc.
edit: Here i thought you were talking about tip fill. I leave the skiing to you guys.

I was looking for those awhile ago also. I think I found some made for Nordica skis. Problem is you ski tip will have to be fairly close to the shape of the tip protector.

I think their primary purpose is to prevent delam while having ascetic looks.
