UHMW Sidewalls flametreatment?

Post by Biggie »

Do Uhmw sidewalls need to be flame treated? I'm asking because the base and topsheet dont need to be.

actually the base and topsheet come flame treated already. these are the rough sides.

for the sidewalls, the UHMWPE or ABS material is usually supplied in sheet form that is meant to be cut by the consumer. these freshly cut sides need to be flame treated. it's pretty easy - just pass a flame torch over the material for a few seconds.
