Pneumatic ski press mold

Post by Maufils »

I'm in the process of building the mold same way head monkey did and I was wondering how much camber you guys have in your mold. I was thinking -25 mm to 0 to -25 mm over 219 cm (86 inches). Do you think it will be enough, or should i go more? I'm not going to heat for now and will let the ski cure 24 hours under pressure and rest a couple days on the side.

When I compare to actual ski I have it gives approximately twice the camber of the final product.

Here is where I stand ;-)

You need to try, too many parameters involved like fibres you use, resin, core material, ski lenght and thickness,.... to predict springback.
