Nah that's cool. And I'm yet to have a board with zero f#$k ups.Dtrain wrote:Not at all gav! It was what I felt like when realized my basic problem after pressing 3 boards. and I prefer the term handicapped.
And come on perfect flat boards with no f%*k ups. How boring!
LoL

Glad to hear problem resolved.
yup I tore some variable on this deck and it ripped. My wife loved hers too!uneva wrote:but it'll ride sick on some big floater spines & vertical cornices in the bc. I was 3.0/Ø/3.0mm across the entire base by mistake on a pair and they absolutely shred granted you have ideal bc conditions. Literally surf & float walls without worrying about edges. Edges are overrated, only good for unloading gear on concrete and traversing.
Not so much in the actual tips either. Very uniform convex from the start of the tip molds to the radius of the actual tips.
3d is the future of progressive powder skiing/snowboarding though. The ride proves it.
I've done asymmetrical layups on purpose before to produce it. But reals 3d molds and hacks will be happening within the members of this site soon.

I hear that. It took about 3 hours to grind three board like the above by hand.
The clear base helped in judging the thickness. Coloured base would be easy to overdue it certain spots and grind to much.
As far a autofeed goes, I think the highest pressure a wintersteiger can press
Is like .07pounds a square inch if I remember correctly. Not enough to press the board flat through the grinder.
Could a guy do a couple hobby boards....sure
But a production process with lower end equipment, probably not.

If you build boards or skis with triple base technology (like Bataleon and Elan), you could grind them with a regular base grinder like shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOd6zhzs0ow
