What material should go over glass if waiting for topsheet?

Post by Danielbroski »

I read that I should wait to press on the topsheet if I am struggling with finding a correct stiffness for my skis. I would hate to waste so much time and money like I did on my last pair (they are straight up too flexy to ski) and figured I should give it a try. My only question is what material I won't stick when I press it?

Peel ply will leave a nice rough texture to bond additional layers to, including the topsheet. You'd want something on top of the peel ply so it doesn't adhere to your cassette. Peel-ply and a layer of normal vacuum bagging film would work well. (although you'll probably get wrinkles)
