Welcome to the forum and the hobby!

Your best bet is just to start reading the forum - there is a lot to read, but everything you need is here. The How-To section on the main SkiBuilders site is a good start, but it hasn't been updated in a long time and many of the proven methods lots of us use have changed over the years.

Everybody does things a little bit differently, but you'll read what works well for some people, and what has failed for others. We always encourage people to share their successes AND failures, so that we can all learn from each other's mistakes.

I'd start by looking through some of the journal threads. If nothing else, it will excite and motivate you - there are people on here making some REALLY great stuff.
