I haven't posted for quite a while but I have been busy.

This is a pair of 50 year commemerative skis I made for the owner of the company I work for.

This is a pair I made for my brother in law who is sceptical about my ability as a ski builder.

Looking real good.

do you have a write-up on what the "guts" of these bad boys? Your side walls are really popping on the bottom pair, looks good. How much of a bevel are you putting on them? any close ups of it?

you just can't post two pictures of sweet looking skis with out any details man... ;)

The two pair are the same construction.
Core is aspen and fir. All wood core tip to tail.
Sidewalls are maple with a 17degree bevel.
Edges are continious with PTEX 4000 black base.
Demensions are 174cm-137-107-125 with a about a 20m multi radius sidecut.

I have a pair I ski on and they are a great all around ski. They are very lively with plenty of rebound, hold a good edge on hardpack, stable at high speed and great in powder. What more can I say. 8)

FWIW... Today I attempeted to climb/ski Humbolt Peak (one of Colorado's 14,000 ft peaks) but I was about a week late and conditions were not good. Too warm and no overnight freeze. A very long drive to not get even a single turn in. Tomorrow I'll try to make up for todays failure by skiing a line near Breckenridge that has not been in for at least ten years. :D

I don't have any more photos and am leaving for Montana Tuesday so will not be able to post more for a couple weeks.

Thanks for the compliments. Makes me feel good.
