thanks everyone
Skied them today, went pretty well, stiffer than the last pair, which I'm not really sure that I like.
is this the same place?

Yep OAC that's the one. Resort was overrun with school kids for the national championships today. I went on a few slackcountry hikes, good fun, but the snow is melting quickly now as spring has arrived :(

Short video of some touring on the failing snowpack!
Lifts are closing next weekend here, and as per usual they are predicting about 2 feet of snow to fall on the last weekend. Pretty often we get our biggest snowfalls outside the actual ski season! If it happens it should mean good touring into november :)

Beautiful skis falls. I'm considering a similar layup with the vds and carbon strip. What's the flex like? And core thickness?

Thanks. Nice work!

pretty round flex, bamboo core. 2mm tips and 12mm at centre I think.
the flex is probably mid. not soft but not exactly stiff. They are definitely stiffer than the same pair without the carbon.
