first board finally!

Post by wintersboarder »

160cm twin
full wood core
22oz triax
p-tex sidewalls
4000 grade base
VDS
vacuum pressed @-23in. hg for 24 hours

Problems:

one insert mis-aligned during layup
masking tape on base bad idea, really hard to get off
topsheet not perfect, need to work on that
do not have the correct setup to chamfer sidewalls yet, so they are kind of half done

Overall happy with the board, homemade vacuum press worked great, hopefully the first of many. Thanks to everyone on this site for providing helpful information

any tips/constructive critisism would be appreciated

Good work!
For the best clip in a press it is better to put a sheet of a tin or mdf. the tin (plate) is better - it`s not glued if it to smear with a polyrole.
Mono color it is very healthy it`s looked! And how to search for a board in a snow? :)
