hydraulic ski press

Post by fred »

Hi,
I found the pictures below of a press up for sale. I post it since it is quite different to what you see normally, in terms of hydraulic cylinders position (vertical vs horizontal w/ linkage)

Looks like a massive build. Good :)

With this design you have the advantage of a nice big opening for loading, the huge locking hardware will make it very stiff too. And its a bladder design, so you can use it like most of us here. If the size fits you (and the price) i would take it, very nice made machine.

P.S. the horizontal cylinders are just for locking the press when its closed

well, I'm just about to finish my own press, I don't need another one currently :).
The price is ok (ca 5'400EUR/6'000USD plus VAT and shipping) and the seller might accept offers (if it's still available), as it has been on the web for quite a while.

But I would probably be somewhat concerned about the oil and sawdust under the press...
