Suction Cups

I profile my sidewalls using the hand router on top of the base method and always used a quick clamp to hold the ski down. The problem is you have to move the clamp(s) out of the way at least once to do the whole ski.
I found some suction cups that work well for securing the ski that stay out of the way of the router. My vises hold them well enough and I also support the ski with blocks. You can find them at your local harbor freight, ebay, etc. for just a few bucks. The sizes I have found are 2 1/2 inch, 4 inch for the bathroom handle one, and 4 1/2 inch so I had to get a couple different ones to accommodate various ski widths. The small ones don't have a ton of suction but the bathroom one has mega grip.
