I am sooo happy to see the list of names that appeared in this thread. I'd taken a few years off and came back to an empty room. The fb group drives me bonkers. So many people are looking for a quick answer "I just bought my snowboard press, where do the blankets go?" and there's not a great repository of info to search. Tons of people though. Seems more like the bar you meet at to talk to other builders at the end of the day and this place is the workplace coffee pot.. will pre 2020 anyways but enough of that.

If you guys need volunteers to keep this going somehow, let me know.

At least one of the standard answers on FB is "read trough SB, everything is there" :D

So even if its silent here, SB is famous ;)

"Most users ever online was 435 on Sun May 10, 2020 12:27 pm" when it was very quiet :)
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

*tap tap* is this thing on?

I haven’t made a pair of skis in something like 7 years, and probably haven’t been on the forum in about the same time. Two kids, building a house, and a very busy day job can really pull you away from a hobby.

To top it all off, my Facebook account was taken over by a scammer a month ago, and Facebook is useless resolving something like that, so I’ve lost touch with a few of the other old timer SB members that I was friends with on there.

I am starting to think up plans to dust off the ski press and make myself a new pair this summer, as well as help my daughter make herself a pair (she’s 4.5 yr old, skiing on non homemade skis... blasphemy!)

Hope you all are well!
