Nice! What skis did you use?

Thanks!

I was skiing my Nukes.

They are my go to ski and I ride them almost every day except for park skiing. I almost brought out my Soul Surfers but the weekend crowds were so bad that I knew there wouldn't be much powder left to ski. I am guessing that Squaw did close to 20,000 skiers on Saturday.

Holy shhhh!!!t How do you know that won't slide?

Generally this rock face is steep enough that most of the time snow doesn't even stick to it very well. Most slides occur at 30-45 degrees pitch and this is close to 60. It takes the right conditions of wind and moisture content to make this skiable where you aren't going to sink down to the rocks.

We had the perfect storm setup last week for this to hold snow. It started out very wet and windy and then gradually got lighter and very deep. I knew that this might be my only chance to ski it this year and it sure was fun!

Great photos. Those skis look sweet.

I recently got in lots of skiing with my son while he was on break too. I still get nervous watching him throw down in the park.

The snow sure was great a week ago. Right now, not so much. But if you really want to hide in those trees you need one of these:

Any more pics Dr.? The corn is all frozen now but a few days ago was sweet. I like the shot of Rockaukum hanging with his homies.
My regular partner got out with me in this vid.

Love watching the untracked creamy goodness. Your dog rules. Dare I ask where you were riding?

Let's hope this week pans out for a refresh on the mountains.

Sure. Bigbend exit on I-80. There's 2 slopes to choose from guaranteed untracked. I'll show you the rout sometime if you want. Only a quarter mile flat before the climb.
