Well, that is a NO relay, so if it's closed, then you must have voltage on 3 & 4. Check with a volt meter. Also, make sure that your positive lead is on terminal 3. If you disconnect it and check it with your meter is the circuit between 1 & 2 open? If not, it's a bad relay, or the contacts ...

Also, as has been mentioned, part of the issue comes from the hose trying to straighten out. If you make your tip and tail molds in such a way that the hose doesn't have the ability to straighten out at the ends, that will help.

And 80PSI helps a lot.

For one off or prototype shapes you can use a paper template and trace out your shape on mdf. Then cut it out with a jigsaw and sand it as close as you can get to the line you traced. Obviously it won't be perfect. This is where my magic trick comes in handy. Glue an edge to the mdf template. This e...

I press at 80. Most of the big guys press between 80 and 100.

No problem with your pressure IMO, you just have to make sure all your tolerances are tight.

How many times do I have to post this?

Using any solvent ruins the flame treatment on a molecular level. It's not about the residue.

Flame treatment changes the surface of the plastic on a molecular level. Solvents ruin that. If you clean with a solvent, you have to flame treat again.

Oh, and building a press is much easier than building quality snowboards.

Brazen is, well, brazen. Add alcohol and it gets worse. LOL. For the most part nobody is going to sell you a press, or build one for you. Partially due to the liability. You really need to build your own, as the type of press you build will determine what kind of molds you can use, etc... That being...

ya know, that might not be a bad idea. I think I get your idea. Profile the core using planer, then attach sidewalls to core. Then use router to profile sidewall to match core profile. That might work.

I would stick with 22oz / core / 22oz veneer / sublimated top. Maybe a layer of 2 oz mat between the veneer and top sheet. Of course the answer is to do a test strip. I just don't think that 11 oz would be translucent enough to get a good view of the veneer. I'm not positive, as I haven't done it pe...

Without heat, I am a little bit stumped. A couple ideas though. What was your fabric layout? Did you have the same fabrics on the top as on the bottom? Did you orient the fabrics opposite of each other (minor detail often overlooked). Was there tension in your core before layup? Did you allow the sk...
