is aluminum cat track really needed? Would just plain 1 inch steel work? Why does everyone use aluminum? Its a lot more expensive and its on the other side of the heat blankets so its not taking any heat away from the boards or skis anyways ryte?

Hey guys, I am about to make some molds for my snowboards. I want to be able to make a wide variety of molds for sizes and different types of camber (positive, negative, and s-camber). Is there a good way of just making the tips of the boards mold and then making the bottom inter-changable so i can ...

I am going to be angle grinding the edges (so I dont slice my hands open), sand it, primer it, paint it, drill it and assemble it all up and make a cinderblock stand for it so i dont have to bend over all the time while ...

How do you know exactly how much of an angle to put on the bend? I want to make one but for snowboards. I know I would probably have to make the wheels bigger and further apart, correct? I just don't even know how I would start to build something like that.

Actually, I am curious about the same things. It would be interesting to see everyone's setup of their shop and what works best with them. I always find it cool to see how everyone has a different way of working. But you can find a few pics of people's shops in the journal section, but not many.

I have all the equipment needed. I'm not worried about the layup or anything but more so the planing of the core, cutting the binding holes, and cutting out the shape. What I meant by that question is: How do you attach the sidewalls to the core? Do you just cut it like the other strips of wood and ...

Snowboard examples

Hey guys, I am about to make some molds. I am trying to find stats on all the boards this season so I can recreate the camber, running length and everything else I need to print out a template on snocad-x. Do you know where I could find something like that?

cool. thanks for the info guys. I want to keep it customizable as possible. I would love to make boards and be able to use a limited amount of pre-made boards. Would you recommend tip and tail spacers? Sounds like i def. want to get cores pre-made due to costs and time.
