we decided not to go with a prenaumatic press. its also not exactly a clamp press either. and its not a vacuum press. We needed to use steel girders to prevent bending. and it does involve bolts.. alot of bolts. over 30 bolts... but its been perfect for us. its also heated. so to answer the topic qu...

just up and across. if you have them at 45º thats going to stiffen the ski up torsionally.

i thought triaxial fibreglass reduces torsional flex.. not increases it, as the added strand is there going across the ski. A plain weave with the strands runing up and down the ski (not diagnally across the ski) would have a reduces affect on torsion, thus it would be MORE torsionally flexible. *tr...

it says in your profile you are an industrial designer. So this sort if information goes hand in hand with that. The link in your profle is a custom ski program, dont spose you design skis for a living then? The information in that database is emmense. Did you 'aquire' all of this by research or did...

With the modified pipe bender, does it work with a 1/2 inch pipe bender?

I have gone through almost all possibiblites for bending the edges and its driving me insane! i just want the edge to look pro.

oh for sure. more is better than not enough.

the figures add up, and i spose you do use alot of epoxy when building skis.

i am just thinking tho 3gallons for 6pairs... thats around 12 litres isnt it? so a litre of epoxy each ski.. i think thats a bit exsessive.. altough i could see it happening.

yeti I ams sure there are cheaper and just as effective options rather than west systems. However having said that.. the stuff has been brilliant. bonds have been perfect. so i dont mind paying that much. hafte... do you really only get 6 pairs of of 3 gallons?! thats alot of resin. i would say out ...
