The "10 day" delam seems a little low. It really depends on how and what you ski and also how you made that particular pair. My second pair of skis that I made lasted me all season at Squaw (130+ days). Sure the top layer was scratched to hell (no topsheet) and the sidewalls were chipped (...

I've used paper as graphics for most of my skis. Mostly in the form of logos on top of fabric though. I find that you need paper that will completely wet out with epoxy otherwise you'll have some delam issue when the paper starts to separate. I had this problem on my latest pair of skis when I tried...

Yeah looks like he's just using a homemade router table to me. There is a little white piece to elevate the ski as well (for pivoting? not sure). Pretty cool video.

Idea is a sick movie - watched it about 4 times already and probably will again tonight. Surprisingly, the skiing isn't as inspiring as other movies but I love the feel of how everything was filmed and edited. Scenes liking them getting ready in the parking lot and navigating snowy highways makes it...

What exactly is your current setup? Pics would be helpful. There is a basic outline on how to build a press utilizing square tubing in the "how-to" section of the site.

rockaukum's got it down....I usually flame treat the sidewalls before epoxying them on by passing a simple torch over the sidewall material.

We (me, BigKam, and Kelvin) tend to put zero bias on our skis because they're designed for tele. Typically tele skiers mount their skis dead center or in my case forward of center.

Cheap personal CNC - Craftsman CompuCarve

Don't know if anyone else has posted this but I ran across a cool machine at my local Sears today: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product. ... 0921754000#.

Seems perfect for profiling cores and making molds but didn't really get the chance to check out all the specs.

very professional looking graphics shuss! For my graphics and skis I usually like to have some sort of background story to them. The idea behind a graphic usually dictates as to whether I want them to be crazy, mellow, or funny. But in the end I usually prefer simplicity over crazy, seizure inducing...
