Does anyone else feel that bamboo is harder on the planer blades than other woods?

sub lamination printers

Has anyone purchased a new printer lately for sub lamination that will handle a top sheet? Are you happy with it?

thanks

Thanks for sharing your story, keep up the good work!

I think they are just stapling the tip spacers on, not the sidewalls.

epoxy release

What epoxy release are you using so the epoxy will not stick to the aluminum?

bamboo lumber supplier

I am looking for a bamboo lumber supplier for the WA or Oregon area for wood cores. I have done the flooring wood, but I would like to buy the actual lumber boards or plywood.

thanks!

Epoxy release

What kind of epoxy release are you using on the aluminum sheets that sandwich the skis? I have been using packing tape, but wondering what else I could use.

thanks

Planer Blades

About how many ski cores are you able to plane before you need to sharpen the blades?

Is Bamboo tougher on the blades than other wood?

I was afraid that was going to be the answer. Has not been the easiest to make the perfect cut but with more practice I should get better.

Also on these 3/4 edge wraps, any pointers on how to finish the fronts without the edge there to cut and sand against to get the nice curve?

thanks

3/4 wrap edges

What are you using to cut the base material where the metal edge ends on a 3/4 wrap to get a nice square corner from when it is rounded by the router?

thanks

On a 3/4 wrap how are you finishing the ends when there is not steel edge to follow?

How do you get the edges to go flush like the one in your picture or when I see them on skis when they are not fully wrapped? Is the bottom template cut so the edge will lay into the side and then end near the tip or tail?

thanks
