Thats a good point about maybe the wood expanding. my mold is cut from 3/4" thick plywood though so it may act a little differently under heat. I have been pulling the board out at around 140 degrees F. I think i will try leaving it under pressure till it cools down fully and see what happens.

Well i think i figured it out... Im quite positive it was hitting some sand paper that had lifted off my crib and that is what may have been causing the sparks.

Funny how you should post this i have been thinking about this all day. What size blade are you running? iv been pondering the idea of doing this with snowboard cores. i think it may be a little more tricky do with the extra width. But i think with a proper setup it could be a fast and easy procedure.

Planer Sparks?

I recently started using bamboo sidewalls and have been noticing sparks coming from the bamboo areas which i find really strange. Anyone else have this issue? using a planer jig to profile my cores. The blades seem to be fine when examining them and don't appear to be contacting anything.

Well with the polylines you get very jittery movement on a cnc setup as there is so many damn points with how snocad is setup. What i do is just redraw the arcs. very simple. The machine then can cut a smooth arc.
