If you have any kind of plastic sidewall (ABS, P-tex, etc) you may have to worry about over-heating or melting the plastic. Interesting idea though, I never even knew there were sanding planers

Although hair driers and heat guns may be cheap to buy, its a pretty inefficient way to heat it and so the cost of running them long enough to heat the entire mold may end up costing much more, and no way to control the exact temperature (which depending on your epoxy may or may not be critical). He...

Why such a thick bottom mold? Just because of the I-beam height on the sides? Your two vertical supports in the middle look small (width), and you don't have much structure on top (where all of the bending load will be). Looks like the same width bars. Remember that pressure results in a LOT of forc...

It just depends on the type of plotter. If an inkjet or laser plotter, yes! If a pen plotter... not so sure. Rice paper is very thin, and the pens might tear it. When I've done rice paper, I always tape it to a piece of normal paper, because otherwise my printer eats the rice paper (again, because i...

The 2nd would be fine if they're still open.

We can always meet up both times... either way, me and Kevin (that's Kevin, not kelvin) will be up this Sunday, likely on our home-builts, so if we don't do a "meet", we'll still be up there and would love to do some runs with anybody else!

The upper most lot, in the southern corner where you get on the track down to the chairlifts.

Should we meet up first thing in the morning (9am?) or meet up lunchtime (noonish?)

Some swag would be sweet!!

19th works for me, I'm gonna try my hardest to get home before then.

It was 77 deg here in Wichita Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning it was snowing. This place sucks.

I am using the 0043 resin and ECA032 hardener. I warmed up both of them in a bucket of hot water for the 2nd ski, and that helped a lot, but it was still thicker than I prefer and am used to. I could heat them up more, but I don't want to heat them TOO much and speed up the set before I am ready!

I finally got my new pair pressed (I only have pictures of the first ski right now... and I'm away in kansas for work so I can't get more). They're called the Piggy Sticks 160cm 150-135-140 They are reverse camber. They are a little bit stiffer than I wanted. They are softer than a K2 Public Enemy, ...

and yes i'm on NASIOC but I dont go on there hardly ever. I have a 2004 WRX wagon in "WR-Blurple". Stage 1 AP, plus I just got an up pipe, and am waiting on the downpipe which is on back order. You will love the difference with the downpipe and stage 2 (a protune will give you even more)....
