I have the exact same hose with the same problem--a million pin holes throughout it. Luckily, I bought the hose from a forum member on here who was super nice and refunded me my money. I thought about going the route you did but using some Stan's sealant instead of just slime. That stuff is way bett...

Re: 22oz triax, not all the same, not even close

So anyway, V2 and Fiberex are out, anyone know where to get Owens Corning CDB200? I got some Owens Corning in a so-called 22oz/yd weight from Raka. I'm not sure without looking at the label if its the CDB200 or not. I ordered a 12" wide slice off a full roll which I paid $5 more to have them s...

Awesome vids Delam! I love Squaw. Huck it and point it. Reminds of Snowbird. That snow looked like straight up Hero-Hucking snow. I really like the drop you showed twice (second time was slow motion) where you transferred over a little from left to right for a bit of extra tranny. Good stuff.

Very nice. I love that we are now calling a 105 underfoot a skinny ski. Do you get your bamboo locally (SLC)? Where at? The bamboo is Teragren brand purchased from McBeath's. You're missing out if you haven't been there. Awesome hardwood selection. You have to buy at least a box of bamboo at a time...

His and Hers Skinny Skis

I finally made some skis that powder-slaying wasn't the number one priority. I probably will only ski them a few times the rest of the season; but my quiver isn't very diverse. I need something other than 120mm under foot (I think). The skis I built for me are 130-105-120 in a 185 length with a 32m ...

I've had brand new bits leave flashing. I've tried various speeds but nothing seems to make that much of a difference. I have a flush trim bit that has only cut p-tex right now that will still leave some flash. I've just decided that cutting out the p-tex with a router is not the ideal way.

Re: Mold style question

I'm just curious why so many people use this method and it is making me wonder if I'm missing something. With this style, wouldn't you have to have a different length piece of MDF to swap out for every length ski or board you want to make? You just might be missing something here. Swapping out this...

Yeah, I'm using the ECA032/EMV043 I think a lot of us on here are using this combination and the end results are great, but dang this stuff is thick and a pain to work with. My epoxy stays inside the house all winter. After I weigh it out I set it on a heat register until the moment I need it. It w...

The dude from Ramp Skis just told me that the industry standard for screw retention was 200lbs. His skis took 600lbs to pull out the screws. Granted these are just screws, not screws and inserts.

Here's a shot of one pair of twisted skis. You can see the edge is raised about 2mm off the table. Both skis are twisted in the same direction. The skis used the middle of a roll of some Owens Corning glass (22oz. top/bottom), QCM 43/32 epoxy, pressed with 50-55psi, post cure time of 12-36 hours. It...

Why Twisted Skis. Why!!!

My last three pair of skis came out all twisted torsionally. Of course I didn't notice they were messed up until I skied a pair of them at the Bird yesterday. I checked the other pair I still had at my house and they are twisted even worse. I assumed the third pair was twisted as well, and sure enou...

My old base jig (which is similar to a 333 style one) creates bases with sort of segmented sections. The rail that my router bit follows doesn't form a super smooth arc. It's more like line-2-line segments. I've dubbed it "Mini-Mag". I've got 3 points of contact, not 7, like Lib. The wavin...

I have a different opinion. I personally hate, with a passion, skis that are too soft in the tips.....I'm currently on a pair of BD Verdicts and they perform very similar to the BRO. For my 1st build I'm trying for a stiffish ski at 185cm with a bit more underfoot and a smaller turn radius than the...

Re: Core materials? early rise

im looking for them to be fairly soft but able to plow through the crud still.. IDEAS WELCOME! Exactly like any good powder ski should be designed. My design goal for my powder ski was to first off, make sure it can charge, but second, it needs to be forgiving. I've had way too many knee surgeries ...

In a way I'm sort of glad I did this because I wanted to add a bit more flat in mold for a while now. I just don't want the camber though. I am longer glad I did this in any way. I didn't realized it until I took them in for tuning, but they are way concave. Easily the most edge hi skis in around 2...
