profiled 2 cores on the weekend. I did the first one and splintered the ends as I went from 1cm it 2mm in one go. Should be able to save it by using tip fills. Am going for full timber in the other one. Learned that lesson and did the next one with a bunch of passes. Worked really well! Was really h...

Had a nice weekend this weekend. Got to go to Masters and buy some stuff for the project. Got some nice clamps and some pretty good little clamps for sticking edges. Any aussies on here that are looking for Poplar, Masters has it. They import it through their lowes connections. The guy in the store ...

I had seen that on here before but liked the look of the vice setup I had seen twizz make. I will grab some on the weekend. Have to go to masters to get some poplar and glue anyway. Thanks! Might continue making this anyway for fun. My mum's partner has a lathe and said he can spin me up some of the...

Hey guys, Thanks for the input. I will grab a hot glue gun this week I think. I was avoiding it as I thought they are exxy but they are fairly cheap. Need to buy a shop vac and maybe some goggles. I have been using safety glasses and these don't stop sawdust sticking to my eyeballs. I have pretty re...

Hi Guys, So I finished off my router bridge and rails setup today. I gave it a burl on some pine I had and it worked pretty well. I need to look at a better way to secure it to the bench. I used spray adhesive with an mdf board underneath. The mdf stuck great but the pine not so much. I used clamps ...

West systems 105 and 206 would be aud 24.00 a board
Entropy 1000/100 would be aud38.00 a board.
Is entropy that much better?

I was going on the assumption that I would use approx 750 grams per board. Up until very recently entropy only had one distributor in Australia. We now have two. Looking at the jamestown distributors site it would cost 120 plus postage to get a gallon of 100 resin and a quart of hardener so with pos...

Thanks Falls
I am really unsure why Warragul needs a surf shop but thanks for finding that. That looks like a good option. That would be 40 odd bucks a board which isn't that bad.

Will give them a buzz.

Hey guys, i thought about it and I am just going to keep it simple for the first one or two till I know what I am doing. I am going to buy enough stuff for 3 boards. Maybe no 3 will be a bit more tech. fired up the new triton bench today. Worked great. All fingers and toes are accounted for.Making a...

Hi Guys, I have been playing a fair bit in autocad lately and have been toying with the idea of trying to follow something like never summers vario sidecut/rocker camber technology. If you don't know what this is you can see it explained here. I have read a lot about it and it seems really great. Wh...

Hey chaps, I have been getting some work sorted out for this little project. Have made up the lid for my VAC press. Have made a nice new bench to work on. I have purchased a router for a good price (got it on sale) and a triton work bench with saw on eBay for cheap. I picked it up last night. I driv...

Hey Probs,
Thanks for the info. I have looked at him before. It doesn't look like he ships to OZ. I am still confused about voltage as we are 240 here and you guys are 110. Most electrical products do both these days but will need to look into that more.
