Ive skied on them didnt see much of a difference. Zia skis are insanely over priced, skied on skis that are $500 still in plastic that skied the same way the Zias did. I get it they make skis to last forever, but really who wants to ski on the same ski forever?

Cutting bases tricks and tips.

Another tricks and tips thread, this time about cutting bases.

My method is making templates with a vacuum channel, and with the vacuum on I use a palm router and go around the template. Not the cleanest way but it is really fast and works great.

What are your methods for cutting bases?

Sidewall bevel tricks and tips.

Curious to see how you all are making your sidewall bevels. As for me right now I have a belt sander that can be angled and been setting it to 20 degrees and slowly working away the sidewalls until they look good to the eye. The trick with my system is just like any normal sanding start with a heavy...

I see no novelty here. Perhaps I dont understand this. Besides ramp skis look terrible, I fondeled the entire line. They look nothing like industry standard quality at all. They should be ignored until they bring up the fit and finish of their product. I tried a pair it had the most uneven flex of ...

When those Surface skis came out in like 09 I got to test them and talk to the owner of Surface about them. If my memory serves me correctly he said they wanted to make a more skate like rocker, and the first time he saw them from the factory he questioned if the rocker would even allow the ski to m...
