http://on3pskis.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/November-1091-1024x768.jpg Iggy, is that aliuminium or plastic on the ends you used? Do you just run the router past it over the bump? Is there still some trimming with the craft knife afterwards? I'm having a bit of a hard time working out how the cir...

that's pretty speedy work. I haven't played with any edge material as yet, but it the thing in the back of my mind that is most daunting. I have access to a metal lathe so am looking to make a bender like you guys have to try and make it a bit easier. Did you use aluminium stock for the rollers? Do ...

I think on the graf snowboard site there might be links to buy presses. Or it might be snowboard materials. They were expensive though. Plotting your own design is much better though, notto mention if you actually can build it yourself

thanks redbull do you design your ski shapes with specific radii in mind. I think I saw on the skevik video you marked the edges where each radius needs to start and stop. Is that from trial and error or from knowing for how far your ski bends at a particular radius?

yeah alexis. I have started using autocad for drawing template and tip/tail shapes. It takes a bit more learning and time than snocad, but gives you much more freedom in design, especially with ski design and rocker/5 dimension ski designs like the rossi S7 and armad JJ among others. I think you'd f...

twizz or red bull: how did you decide how far apart the 2 rollers would be?
The single roller obviously needs to have its centre exactly halfway between the centres of the other two, but is there a reasoning for how far apart you would mount the 2 rollers on their side? thanks

I have seen a company here in Australia that sells plastic containers with pump action dispensers. Like those for suncream or hand soap. http://boatcraft.com.au/Shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=8 a few items down. Their epoxy comes in plastic containers with threaded lids so to use something...

You could and rig some rollers that move with your router carriage. If you stopped the carriage from being able to move up or down you could have a roller on either side as wide as your cores. These could have their axel ends mounted on firm springs so they would force the core down but also move wi...

I love the painted wall!
The hangar was built as an aircraft museum, which has since closed.
There are still exhibits hanging from the roof and here and there amongst the planes being worked on. It is a good workspace just very hot at the moment 43 degrees C inside most days!

Chris. Do you mean you used a very short length of large radius curve to meet the straight line for rocker, then applied a tip curve to the end? That makes good sense, best of both worlds.
Montucky, is "booty" good or bad? I've not heard it before!

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4021/4270562235_3e6470e33e_b.jpg Picture to demonstrate. Upper drawing uses a 1935mm radius arc to go up 20mm over 25cm and blends better with flat camber running length. Lower drawing uses straight line to rise 20mm in 25cm. Small kink at junction with running length...

No, Australia. Was in NZ for 3 weeks this year. The ski almost took a ski instructor with it. It disapperaed over the edge and luckily the nose hit something and it catapaulted about 5m in the air and fell to a stop rather than just diasappearing into thin air. I managed to ski away from it on 1 ski...
