how about abs? i don`t know anything about waterskis, but on the wakeboards i once had a look at it seemed like they use abs for the sidewalls. i think you can`t wrap any plastic around edges, you`ll have to do it the same way as on skis: sidewalls for the running lenghts and tip&tail spaces for...

@chrismp: i understood what you ment. and i was saying exactely the same, it`s all about area. i don`t know what kind of hose you`re using...but there are quite huge hoses on the market that would go for a snowboard/double ski press. if you took such a hose you probabely would get an even better sur...

well well well, i don`t think multiple hoses instead of 1 hose make any difference. the pressure gets distributed over the whole lenght in any case. if you use 1 hose an fill it with 5 bar or so the pressure will be 5 bar over the whole area on which the hose is in contact with the molds. same with ...

well then, excuse me, captain! and now take this! some storms hit my resort which was pretty funny. and pretty dded scary as the avalanches were really angry due to the wind and some weak layers underneath. one day was...let`s say...pretty evil. you had a hard time doing 3 turns in a row without tri...

hey rockaukum! after 2 days of bluebird i have to admit: i prefer those stormy snowy days like on your picture. of course the weather is nice on bluebird days, so great conditions to shoot some pictures with all this light and contrasts...but...the snow is just not as light and fluffy. or maybe it`s...

grizzly, admit it! you sat on your skis on this picture! ;) anyway, again some pretty sweet days, some more snow and freaking huge avalanches (luckily not triggered by anyone but blown up by snow patrolers in helicopters.) http://skibuilders.com/cpg/albums/userpics/10013/P1050611k.JPG i don`t like w...

yeh, you got to differentiate a little: 3 stage rocker is better than no rocker at all. so if all those guys who wrote reviews never skied real rockered boards of course they`ll like this 3stage thingy. and remember where rocker comes from: yes, exactely, surfboards. have you ever seen a cornered su...

Re: the VDS hoax

this could be something! do you really think water got soaked in by dry fibres? i can hardly imagine dry fibres that soak water that deep into a ski... where did the edges rust? just on the outmost part or on the whole width of the teeth? i had an other idea: due to vibrations, shear forces between ...

i can`t tell for sure about the bubbles. so i`ll pay a little closer attention to the bubbles the next time my base gets ripped of ;) luckiliy at the moment there is so much snow i don`t have to worry too much about rocks and such stuff. as i took my camera with me it`s time for some eyecandy: those...
