Gozaimass, It's all done with a cnc drag knife, no die. The tool is from Donek, it's great. Vin - carbon down the centre. base alignment pins are binding inserts. Yup, base material tip spacers. The X at the tip is carbon. Dtrain, I got the D2. Well, work bought the D2. We sell CNCs so it might be a...

Damn I want urethane sidewalls! It seems bloody expensive here. I'm going to Europe though, and I'll ship some back I think. RE profiling we're doing it in a lot more than 1 pass, but that's partially to do with the fact I'm in no hurry, but don't want to wreck a core. I'm also using a monster cutte...

Yes, we're doing the sidecut with splines and it certainly has varying radii. Because we're setting it that way, we put the waist where we think boot centre should go, rather than looking at where the waist ends up and putting boot centre there. Is it a good idea? Not a clue... It's just how we did ...

So, I'm thinking about a pair to take to europe with me in Feburary. How does this look? The number that's hard to read in the middle there is camber, 5mm. http://i.imgur.com/Ctdam.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FmQvn.jpg and some without dimensions so you can see it more clearly... http://i.imgur.com/PwsiX...

Bit of a report on that pair... I got 1 day on them in lovely soft snow and then the weather packed up, and it's rained on the field now so that might be curtains for my NZ season. Looks like I'll catch some snow in the new year in Europe though. Neither the lack of VDS and the kevlar moving around ...
