Almost there..

Unfortunately no homebuilt skis yet.. but I'm wearing my boots while playing halo. Its 50f out and I'm in ski pants and jacket - just to make sure its all ok..

Anybody else going crazy waiting the last few weeks??

I tested a core - no wood - just a layer of glass top and bottom of nomex honeycomb. I couldn't budge it. But it was just as light as I wanted it. Maybe if I cut from 1/4 thick to something thinner. But it had no flex at all

I can see why they use it for aircraft floor now...

That time of the year..

Skis are all shined up.. boots cleaned, goggles fitted.. poor body getting punished to get in shape in far too short a time...

Anybody else going through the the pre-season panic?

sandbag press is basically just laying sandbags on top of your mold. The sand conforms to the shape, and the weight presses the same way anything else does. usually a layer of felt, flannel, cotton, or similar on top of the plastic covering the topsheet not only gives an even vacuum, but allows epoxy to seep into it and avoid the pump

Welcome to the forums! Vacuum is the cheapest and easiest by far - almost as easy as vacuum sealing your leftover dinner!
