thats the stuff. The other guys here have heaps more experience with it than me but 1 thing I will say is make sure you have wide mixing pots. Last time I mixed it in a 1 litre mixing pot and pot life was shortened by about 50% Are you making skis or boards or something else? The white PU (325 I th...

A peace of warning: the HDPE mold is distorting with a heat. Not only that, when HDPE is machined like this mold was, it will bend and distort. The solution for this might be to secure your HDPE mold with a metal rods or something or make a mold of aluminium. Wood is no good as well coz of the heat ...

Horses for corpses???????? The Aust. Oxford Dictionary - "matching the tasks and talents" :) Yes, for a kiteboard it is hopefully a match. As I know kiteboard industry is using 30secs pot life PU to eliminate air bubbles. Either way, making a pre made sidewall is a go for me: http://board...

Hm,

MM, horses for corpses.

In Australia, UHMW costs as gold:(

But I am very interested in the elongation break?! I can't imagine where would that be on the sidewall? Hitting a rock?

Are they any PU's with better elongation break or I shouldn't worry with a kite boards?

Thx

My new batch! this one is 327, transparent, nice fluorescent colors, can take a night photo when charged with a light. They look awesome in a dark. Better than expected. Post cured on 60psi, and heat cured on 55C for 3hrs. http://boardbuilders-forum.1077691.n5.nabble.com/file/n1410/DSC05489_%28Small...

True.

For me it's abut the cost as well. One "trail" PU package ~1kg about AU$30.
And quite easy to work with since it's like water. PMC790 is like honey, for me, not easy to pour at all.
