Interesting layup
I tumbled upon this video on youtube and find it interesting how they do layup. Perhaps someone her gets it, as I really dont get the following, - around 1:55min in the video they show the base with edges. It seems to me as the base is not cut exactly to the shape and is extending under edges? -at a...

edge bending tool to buy
Hi,
I am reposting this from Yard sale, as I might have posted it in the wrong section.
I am looking for one of the edge bending tools as described in the 'how to' section. Am willing to pay good $$ for it, anybody has one for sale?
Cheers

edge bending tool needed
Hello all,
I am planing to build a pair of ski in a month and need an edge bending tool.
I have seen the description on how to make one self, but due to the lack of proper tool and time I would prefer to pay for one. Anybody has one for sale?
Cheers,
M

drying the core and moisture
Hello all, 1. I am about to press my first board very soon, wooden core, and as I know that moisture fumes can in certain cases build up quite a lot of pressure, I was speculating if trapped moisture in the wood core could at some point build up enough pressure to create de-lamination issues or simi...

alternative rail materials?
Hi all, I have lately been thinking a bit about how the board sports are going more green in terms of using bio epoxies and more eco friendly materials. However I have not encountered any attempts at eliminating the ABS rails for something more environmental friendly materials? Wounder why this is t...

Appreciate the feedback guys! SO much good stuff on this forum. Due to the diversity I would like in my press (snowboard, ski, kiteboards) I will probably invest in the wide bladder. Then the rest (heat protection etc.) will be trail and error as always :). I am sure there will be a lot of failure a...

Hi all, I am about to order some paulownia wood for cores and I was considering ordering some blocks for mold as well. Do not like MDF. Does anybody here see some bad things about using paulownia for mold? From what I heard it is easy to machine and strong. Some data, English Paulownia Density (Kg/m...
