Securing Core tot he profile jig

Hi I know this has been covered alot, but i cant seem to find the other posts. How is everyone securing their cores to their profiler? i am using the router method but have trouble holding the tips down... I havent really left enough room to put nails in the ends either..... Any help would be great!...

im just using your regular drill 10mm drill bit.

i think i do not what my problem is, im using pine(its my first attempt so i used cheap wood as i knew alot would go wrong)

Im going to try ash for the centre stips i think....

Drilling Inserts Help

Can anyone offer some advice when drilling insert holes into my snowboard core.

Im having problems with the wood being chewed up. The holes are 2cm apart but the wood in between keeps disintegrating!

Any advice would be great!
