I'd have to agree with a lot of what was said above. The DP Lotus 138 is a great design for sure. I skied all last season on a pair of Praxis Pow Skis in a 195 and had a blast (I only skied my other pair of skis a few times, even when it wasn't a powder day). You need to think about what you really ...

I think we are going to abandon the cloth press frame idea and try and make a steel press. If you are go...

My brother and I started in late February getting the fire hose air bladders sealed. Thanks to some great information on Headmonkey’s website we knew exactly what to buy from McMaster-Carr and we were able to build a fire hose air bladder that does not leak. http://lh3.ggpht.com/2shopvacs/SPggu7nXY3...

I work at NOAA and we launch much smaller balloons that go up to 100,000 feet carrying small instruments that measure ozone and water vapor. One day my student and I decided we wanted to see what the earth looked like from the balloon's point of view. We rigged a small digital camera in a foam box w...

Thanks for the comments guys (and for the help ben_mtl) We'll try to get a full TR written up soon. Between school, work and getting ready for ski season we're both pretty busy... The skis were just sent off to Alpine Base and Edge in Boulder to get a base grind and edge. If Loveland decides to open...

My brother and I gave up driving around town this past summer, so we have put a few miles on the townie bikes and mountain bikes over the past few months...
