silicon is more than stretchy enough! Made my hollow tips with a silicone sheet, the silicone membrane moves around every uneventy easily.

AFAIK flax has great dampening properties, and I think dampening along the length of the ski is more important than torsional dampening, hence I use thin Uni flax and normal triax/biax carbon. I love riding the results!

Excessive camber definitely causes chatter, had that issue in some other builds which had more camber than planned.

Not at all. And I don't understand why a hollow tip would lead to this... The contact point of the camber is way behind the hollow tip, about 5cm.

It was just a guess, we had a customer in our ski service a year ago who destroyed the whole heel of his binding by lifting his inside ski for turn iniciation :)
