I used it only once long time ago on my first pair, and had no problem. However, wood was well dried and probably 50 years old. I experience different problem because it was quarter sawing when router for sidewall It was easily split alone grain line

It's a hard market for sure. I never really bothered to try. When your material costs are climbing close to $200 and a guy can buy a pair of last years Rossi's for $300 on EVO, theres not much point. Sam custom skis most of us make cannot be compared to $300 bargain corner skis bargain shopper type...

This method didn't work for me. You can see my results when base shifts. obviously I only tried it once. :D

I have a vacuum pump. Oil type 7 CFM iirc. Intended for continuous run. can ship without oil or come by to pick up in Vermont when I go to ski :D

you did not mention if you have needed tools and equipment. Not to mention skills to use it. Cutting tools can cut not only wood.... I have several close calls. I should've clarified. I built each core individual… 1/4 sawn work best for this method
