Apparently a friend of mine might have some I-beams laying in his back yard and if not, probably knows where to score some. Yeah, he's that guy. So the cloth may not even be an issue.

Hopefully I can get out there this weekend and have a look.

Well, like anything, try to start it up and see what happens. If it doesn't start and you're electrically savvy, try to find where the problem is and how much it'll take to fix. Motors on stuff like that are probably expensive. I'm looking at about $1000 or more to buy just parts to build one. Make ...

core profilers

So I've been looking at router bridge type of profilers. The only one I like so far is the one that Kingswood uses.

It looks like 1" conduit with bolts for adjusting. Anyone have more insight this?

Yeah I tried pushing down on the ends and there's a lot of pressure in the twist itself. I think I may have to bite the cost of a steel frame to account for that kind of torsion or figure out how much to pre-twist the hose. But I agree, now that you mention it, two hoses may be too much for the Cord...

Anyone see this as an issue when I get it into a press frame?

Eric's Boards

50 psi, no casualties or fatalities and most importantly, no leaks! Ok, so I went with 6" rubber and cloth fire hose. I found, much to my relief, that it worked. The washers around the fitting are basic grade 8 washers. The rubber on the inside of the hose seemed to do a good job of creating it...

Figured I'd introduce myself

I'm Eric, I've been interested in building snowboards for quite a few years now. After loosing a job I figured it was time to start chasing my dreams instead of someone else. So I've been planning, researching designing and engineering my manufacturing process, mostly in my head. I have a lot of ide...

Ok, I've never built a snowboard or ski, although I'm working on it. I've been researching the topic for about 3 years now and have read just about everything I can get my eyes on. I've played with forms, jigs, templates, ect. I think I know everything there is to know about building without having ...

Draftsight is an amazing 2D CAD program that will probably put Autodesk out of a job, AND it completely FREE! It's from the guys that make Solid Works and it's fully functional and fairly well polished, unlike just about every other free CAD program out there. In addition to SnoCAD there is Boardcra...
