Hey guys
I have most of the pics, but I hadn't the time to post them. I will do so soon...

ISPO 2014 Munich
Hey guys
I'm attending ISPO during the next few days where all the companies present next years stuff. Is there anything particular you want I have a look at and maybe post a picture?
Cheers, Reto

Ok, finished them this weekend. Need to get the base sanded and mount a binding. I'm pretty happy how they turned out for the second pair. 1800g a ski, just 10g weight difference between the two. flex seems to be pretty good. maybe a little too stiff in torsion for such a powdergun. http://home.rega...

that shouldn't be an issue, because at first there is a vacuum there and resin will be sucked into it.MontuckyMadman wrote:Even without vds u really thik the resin will go into those tooth gaps? Its like the perfect airtrap. Depends on the viscosity i guess. Seems hard to get it all in there even with my fingers.

I wanted to try resin infusion but there is no way to get resin between VDS and edge. Would be interested in your approach regarding this challenge... Cheers, Christoph I guess it would work with a very light fiberglass mat (like 30gsm or so) between the edges and the ruber. And put the ruber just ...

any mechanical engineers out there?? ... yep! Made a rough calculation and according to that the max deflection is 7.7mm at 50psi. So the gap opening would be 15mm, which is a lot… For higher pressures this will increase linear. It’s calculated on the conservative side, but it will be in this order...

Nice one! I hope they sky as well as they look! At the last minute I decided to mark the midline of the running length right on the core with a sharpie. Didn't really let it dry and it bled a bit and doesn't look so great, but whatever. Use a NON permanent pencil next time and you wont have any trou...

Hmm, I think you might be wrong as well. :D Stiffness is proportional to the thickness cubed for plain material, but not for a sandwich. The sandwich stiffness is the sum of the stiffness of the core and the stiffness of the two face sheets. The core gets stiffer by the thickness cubed but the face ...

Nope, linear dependent. Your fatty should be 50% stiffer than the 80mm one... But if a ski is flexed, tail on the ground, tip in one hand, the other hand bending ( 3 point bending), the bending moment on the ground is zero, max below the flexing hand and zero again on the tip with a linear distribut...
