Thanks for posting your skis!
If I remember correctly you are also based in NRW. Would love to see your skis in the real world. Interested?

I know I'm a bit lazy in that area myself, but it would be great if you posted some photos and wrote a Little bit about your skis.
Thanks in advance!

Even if you didn't like the way it skied, it's always a pity if they fail.
Perhaps you shouldn't taper the core as much. For your next pair i Would recommend to widen the middle part of the core. The way you did it there is a pretty big difference in stiffness right in front of your bindings!

This video should explain it. I have never tried one of these transfers gels but seen results with photos and they were pretty good. You can also use acetone or paint thinner but the results are not as clean.

Thanks for your answer!
I'm surprised your blade was able to deflash more than one ski. The Wood blade I used would not be able to cut that much fibers. Maybe I should give it another try.

And a little bickering...
You should get rid of the paper you print your logos on. IT kind of destroys the clean look of your veneer top sheet. You can Transfer a printed image onto wood using acrylic gels.

Those skis look great! 1820g is alo pretty good for these dimensions. Would you be willing to explain your layup a bit more? What Kind of blade are you using on your band saw. The Standard blades are intended for Wood and don't last very Long cutting fibers. Especially when cutting carbon. Ask my fa...

Sure!
I was only talking about epoxy surfboard resins. As there are more and more EPS surfboard blanks on the market, you should get some brands over in oz.

That's a pity. The picture looks pretty good. If i were you, I wouldn't use a top sheet over veneer. At least not in a cap construction ski. There is no way the air and excess resin inside the layup can escape from under the top sheet. If you are using the anti foaming agent as sold by skibaumarkt.d...

Why don't you just test the surfboard resin. I reckon it should work just fine. I'm pretty sure you should be able to heat it and get similar results. Just talk to the tech guys of the resin Producer( not the sales reps). A General rule of thumb is that by every 10°C you reduce the hardening time by...

Got a Little late last night so I didn't have the time to post something. Now back at work. I agree with sammer. Give it a little more early rise (I wouldn't call that rocker) and tip height. I would Keep the widest part in the rockered section. There are no numbers for camber but to me it looks a l...

120mm would be the widest part of the planshape. About 50mm from the tip. I'll post a Picture of the cad sketch once I'm at home.

My suggestion would be to go for the following dimensions:
Length: 1550mm
Nose: 120mm
Mid: 80mm
Tail: 106mm
Radius: 15m
Mounting Point -75 (from true Center)

With 15cm of tip rocker she'll be able to handle a longer ski.
I'll post a CAD sketch later. Can't do that from work.

Thanks The ash core will help A LOT. I would have added the carbon to the top Laminate. A thicker and stronger Laminate is not as prone to buckling. People often make the mistake to put too much fibers into the botttom Laminate of a Sandwich. But as the fibers handle Tension better than pressure you...

Looks pretty good.
What did you Change compared to the last one? What type and weight of fibers did you use?
