Sammer, this oil mist was one reason I don't like the pump. I know one shop in my country where I can get the oil. And the best part, I sold the oil pump today with same price what I paid for the oil free pump..👍

I bought this Thomas pump today. I guess & hope that it is better than the old one. At least the price was not bad. Should be able to pump to -0.97bar. I did not like the using the oil pump as it made me nervous that the pump would run out of oil and quit working. As this Thomas is design to run...

I was thinking to install a strait pipe app. 30 cm / 1 ft and install tractor petrol filter on top? I have also a vacuum pump f...

The skis looks great! You'll get more chipping of the veneer along the edge because of cap construction vs sandwich/sidewall construction. I use either a 15 or 20 degrees bevel on the sidewall to lessen the chipping. Don't worry too much about it. Ski the hell of out them! Thanks alot! I learn that...

For the next skies I was thinking to use only fiber glass and let the core show under it. The folio on top gives nice & good surface. I guess veneer will give some additional torsion => core must be thicker if there is no veneer. I will go today make next test run, we have a small hill just 10 m...

Here is some picture, I have never done veneer ( it's walnut 0,6 mm) work before, compare to that i quite happy with result. To make the core little smaller would have give maybe better result. I have epoxy on top of the veneer, im afraid that don't last very long time. Tail http://abload.de/img/wp_...

I think spruce is good for skies. When I was kid we use to build bows from spruce branchs. Some of them last for years.
