I only need biax 45/45. Any longitudinal fibers will be too highly stressed and likely to break unlike glass. I need stitched, not braided. I couldn't believe how much work it took to shape and abraid the UHMW sidewalls on my first board. It was definitaly worth it though. It's heavy stuff, so use sparingly for impact, compression, or dampening locations. You have to flame treat this stuff just right to make it adhere. Most people recco...
